Bridging the Gap: A Community for Men to Share, Support, and Thrive

Welcome to Manpark, a community and database to assist in combatting societal stigmas circulating around what a man should be, how a man should act, etc. These stigmas have been established since the beginning of time, but I am here to tell you that I have enough of society showing dismissal to men who are trying to open up about their feelings or let their emotions show. I am tired of the stereotype that "men shouldn't cry" because men are supposed to be strong and the backbone of household stability that was established in bygone society. I am here to make a statement and to create a community that exhibits acceptance to any man struggling who needs support, resources, or further help. Manpark is here to stay and to set a precedent, that showing emotions takes vital maturity and should not be a scary thing for men to do.

I had the idea for Manpark in early 2023 and began doing extensive research and work to discover more regarding men's mental health and public opinions. What sparked the entire creation of Manpark and my drive to learn more about men's mental health is a absurd statistic that I uncovered. I learned that although men roughly account for 50% of the human population, they account for about 80% of all suicides. This wild statistic inspired a future of changing what needs is due to be changed in society, one man at a time.
